It’s Spring time — and that means it’s time to start opening your hives! This specialised 2 hour hands-on workshop is suitable for newcomers and novice beekeepers looking for some practical insight before you get started with your hives for the year.
In this two-hour workshop, we will be covering:
- Cleaning Equipment
- Preparing New Frames
- Winter/Early Spring Hive Inspections
- Planning & Preparation for the coming year
- Apiary Hygiene and Disease Control
- Pre-Swarming Inspections/Control
- Preparing Nucs
- Proper Record Keeping
*We will not be opening working hives during this class.
